Introduction to Management
and Leadership
This course is suitable for new and aspiring managers. Participants will explore management and leadership skills, behaviours and styles, carry out a self-assessment of their strengths and development areas, complete a team challenge, how to analyse and utilise their team members’ strengths; and how to build and maintain strong relationships with key groups.
1 day course
Courageous Conversations
This course is suitable for all staff, particularly managers. Participants will explore the benefits of having courageous conversations, the importance of developing emotional intelligence and effective communication skills, how to effectively give and receive feedback; and how to
prepare emotionally and practically to have
courageous conversations.
Half day course
Effective Supervisions
This course is suitable for line managers who conduct 1:1 supervision sessions with staff and/or volunteers. Participants
will explore their organisation’s supervision policy, procedure and documentation; the purposes and benefits of supervisions; what makes supervisions effective; and communication skills including giving feedback to improve performance.

Managing Conflict
This course is suitable for new and aspiring managers. Participants will explore what causes conflict to occur at work, assess their own preferred style of managing
conflict and how this may impact upon others; and the benefits of using different styles in different situations.
Half day course
Effective Delivery and Facilitation
This course is suitable for people who are or will be responsible for designing and/or delivering internal
training in their organisations. Participants will explore facilitation skills development, how to prepare for workshops in advance, how adults learn best, how to promote engagement and inclusion in workshops; and
how to manage conflict and challenge in the training room.
